YOnoBi initiated a design competition with the goal of transforming Japan’s traditional craft into a global brand. It marked the begin of the hettler.tüllmann collaboration. Their winning entry, the much acclaimed laptop sleeve made of handcrafted kimono fabric, fused tradition with modern day life. Invited to Japan hettler.tüllmann was introduced to the world of traditional Japanese craftsmanship in Tokyo and the province of Niigata.
Traditional craftsmanship has played a fundamental part in their creative process ever since.
